Who Can Take Part?

What’s the minimum age? All players need to be 14 or older to join Flyt Netball. Whether you’re just starting your journey or already flying high with experience, there’s a place for you on the court.

Is there a maximum age? Not at all! Once you’re 14+, you’re welcome to take part. Our leagues are open skies for everyone – it’s all about enjoying the game, meeting people, and having fun.

Flyt Netball provides suitable spaces for all skill levels:

• Take Off Leagues – perfect for beginners or those returning to netball. A safe, supportive environment where you can build confidence, develop your skills, and find your own pace without worrying about competing with highly experienced players.

• Top Flyt Leagues – designed for experienced players who want a faster-paced, competitive environment. These leagues are great for players who have “found their flyt” and want to soar alongside others with similar skills. Take Off players often naturally progress here over time as their abilities and confidence grow.

  
  

Costs & Payments

How much does it cost to play? Costs can vary very slightly depending on the league or session, but we aim to keep it affordable and accessible. Check your local league details or contact us for a full breakdown.

Can we pay in cash?Match fees are handled online (no hunting for coins on the sidelines!). Umpires, however, are still paid in cash on game night, so keep a few coins handy in your kit bag.

Getting Started

What if I missed a Take-Off session? No worries – you haven’t missed your chance to fly! Even if you didn’t attend our beginner program, you can still join a team. Speak to your coordinator, and they’ll help you find the right place to land. Plus, our umpires double as in-game coaches, ready to offer tips and guidance to help you soar.

Can I join with a friend and be placed together? Absolutely! Just let us know when you sign up, and we’ll do our best to keep you in the same flock.

Take Off Taster Sessions

What is a Take Off Taster session? It’s our friendly launchpad for new players – designed to help you build skills, confidence, and rhythm before diving into league games.

How do I join? Check our website for upcoming sessions and book your spot. It’s a brilliant way to warm up your wings before joining league play.

What happens once a season ends? We’ll invite you to re-register and take off again! More matches, more fun, and more memories in flight.

Take Off Leagues

Take Off is all about finding your own flyt. We provide a safe, supportive space for women returning to netball to play at a pace that feels right for them. You’ll have the chance to learn alongside teammates, supported by umpires and the Flyt Team, and to find your own flock without the pressure of competing with super-skilled players.

Top Flyt Leagues

Top Flyt is for players ready to soar at a faster pace. These leagues are ideal for players who have already found their flyt and want to play with others at a similar skill level. Some players progress naturally from Take Off leagues over time, while experienced players can join directly to take their game to new heights.
